Highway 4 is more than a restaurant! It is an opportunity to experience Northern, Southern and Central Vietnamese cuisine in a traditional setting. Popular with both local Hanoians and tourists, the restaurant's signature dish is cat fish springs rolls. This cooking tour starts early with a market visit followed by a cooking class where you will learn how to cook three Vietnamese dishes. Of course your morning finishes with lunch to sample your creations.
When: 08.00am - 12.00pm
08.00 : Meet our guide and take a short cyclo trip through Hanoi's legendary Old Quarter.
08.20 : The market tour will give you an insight not just into the scents and flavours of Vietnamese herbs and spices but also market culture - how to bargain and where to buy your goods.
09.00 : Transfer to Highway4 Restaurant, 31 Xuân Diệu St., by taxi.
09.15 : At Highway4 get kitted out in your chef's outfit whilst our chef talks you through today's dishes. Then our chef will lead you through each dish, giving you plenty of opportunity to get involved and try your hand at reproducing the flavours.
11.15 : Dine on the dishes you have just prepared. We will also supply you with a recipe booklet containing all the information you need to reproduce an authentic taste back home.
12.00 : Farewell.
